Afternoon Shadow
This is a small oil painting of my horse Travie. His shadow really does look like this late in the afternoon. I painted it in watercolor as well to compare the two mediums. The oil is much more intense

I love painting my labs. They're so funny and expressive, as are all animals. I paint farm animals as well and love to paint wild animals when I'm lucky enough to see them.
Flight In White
I have painted this horse several times because I love how colorful white can be plus he's such a handsome guy! I added the birds just to get more white into the painting and to combine two kinds of flight.
